2010 Legacies Now is dedicated to strengthening arts, literacy, sport and recreation, physical activity and volunteerism in communities throughout BC leading up to and beyond the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.

Literacy BC
Literacy BC is an independent, non-partisan, membership-based, registered not-for-profit organization. We have been promoting and supporting literacy and lifelong learning in British Columbia since 1990 by Supporting adult learners and their families and raising public awareness.

Whole Life and Learning Disabilities in Adult Literacy
This site is a place for adult educators in BC and Canada to share ideas and resources to support adult learners who may have a learning disability, or for whom learning is difficult for all kinds of reasons. A “whole-life approach” to learning disabilities recognizes that learning is social, cultural, emotional and also deeply personal. Successful strategies for people with learning difficulties attend to the “whole person” and diverse learning styles. In fact, successful learning strategies for people with learning difficulties can work for everyone.

Youth Literacy
This site offers lessons learned and literacy strategies for educators working with youth who have low literacy skills and demonstrate at-risk behaviours. Based on a three year research project in Surrey.
