Family Fun in Sechelt – Saturday, January 23, 9 am to noon


9:00 am to 10:15 am
Pancake breakfast at the Seaside Centre, 5790 Teredo Street, provided by the Sunshine Coast Lions Club


10:15 am to 11:00 am
Storytime with an RCMP Constable and tour of the Sechelt RCMP detachment


11:15 am to Noon
Storytime with the Fire Chief and tour of the Sechelt Firehall


10:30 – Noon
Birthday Party at Sechelt Public Library for all babies born on the Sunshine Coast in 2009

Family Fun Math at the Sechelt Public Library.  Discover hands-on activities that you can do with your kids to help them develop a positive attitude to and an understanding of numbers and math.  Drop in with the kids and try out activities together.


For residents of Pender Harbour and Egmont :  A bus will take families to Sechelt for the morning activities.  Meet at the elementary school at 9:00 am sharp on Saturday, January 23.  If you live in Egmont call Jan Smalley, Coordinator, Pender Harbour Community School for information about car pooling.  Phone 604-883-9837

READING WITH THE BEAR
where: Gibsons Heritage Building, 805 Gibsons Way, Gibsons, BC
When: Monday January 25th, 2010 from 4:30pm - 7:00pm (drop-in, stay as long as you like)
What: A book chat

We’ll look together at examples of children’s books written by Aboriginal authors or with Aboriginal culture as a theme.Learn about the books, learn about reading and responding to these stories with your family, enjoy having the books read to you by the Bear!

Welcome Grandparents and Parents – with or without your children. Books appeal to children ranging from Early Years to Grade 7.
